Charity Work for 2017

Hello fellow readers,

well this past year has not been a good one for SewGeekAustin. Sales have been down, partially that is my fault and partially I blame Hot Topic. LOL

But now for a more serious post, in 2016 I have not been able to donate nearly as much as I have in previous years, so I am asking you all my trusty readers to help me out.

I am still going to donate 10% of all my online sales to charities. Help me pick the charities for the year. I am also asking you to spread the word about my shop. I am hoping to get back to more sewing items rather then jewelry. I am planning some new one of kind handbags.
Also if you want anything custom made please contact me and I will try my best to make it happen.

Let’s see if we can get to 6000 FB likes by the end of the year and I will hold a pretty awesome new Years give away. (well I will do that anyways)

Also please don’t forget to sign up for my Newsletter here: Newletter Sign Up

I am looking forward to raising more money again and to make Geeks all over the world happy.

New Bracelet line is on its way…

Well the wrap bracelets were fun, but they are taking so much time to make and I am venturing more and more into the world of wire wrapping and designing Jewelry.
So last night I was thinking how I could combine the two and I think I came up with a great compromise. I designed a Bangle with beads in between just like the wrap bracelet. I hope you like them. I will launch them this week.
We will have bracelets with glass beads and then there will also be some with Czech Crystal beads (they will be a bit more in price, but well worth the look), all of them have our signature charm in it.
We currently have made
– Supernatural Possession Charm
– Devil’s Trap
– Tardis
– Teen Wolf, Alpha Triskele
here is a picture of the first one we made… Let us know what you think

Happy Birthday Doctor Who… Wrist warmer pattern

ad9476d453fd11e3b3f312f42697c837_8

To celebrate Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary I decided I want to make something and share it with my geek followers.

A pretty bad cold front came thru the last couple of days so I wanted some wrist warmers, I had already purchased the yarn, cause I knew at some point I wanted to make wrist warmers. So yesterday evening I sat down and drew out the tardis pattern on a graphic paper. I have to say I am pretty seasoned knitter and I’ve written a few patterns so this was pretty easy for me.

I picked the yarn, cause it has some sparkle in it and I also decided to post the pattern for free, in celebration of the Doctor. I hope you enjoy it. If you have questions, please feel free to leave feedback.

The pdf file for  the pattern can be downloaded here : Tardis Wrist Warmers

Enjoy and stay warm!!!
